“When Water Runs Dry” is a television series that projects what happens as we continue to face severe water shortages across our country, and the world.

We talk climate scientists, sociologists and futurists to lay out the repercussions of a dwindling waters supply as temperatures continue to rise, mega droughts persist and our natural water sources run dry.

From current day concerns to a future with no water, we’ll build a chronological time line that shows the gradual changes society will go through as water supplies dwindle. We’ll explore how life will change in major metropolitan areas, and what will happen to our food supply as our nation’s largest farmers fight to keep their crops alive.

From millions standing in line for fresh drinking water, to uncontrollable wildfires, mass emigration and the rise of water criminals, the future can seem bleak. But there’s also hope. Hope in new technology, preservation and understanding as we raise awareness and educate people on simple things we can all do to make a difference.
