Model rockets aren’t just for kids. In the high stakes world of high-powered rocketry, teams compete to break mach speeds and shoot higher than ever. It takes serious smarts, imagination and nerves of steel. With rockets towering over 20 feet in height, and enough rocket fuel to cause a lot of damage, “rocket fliers” will follow 4 of the nation’s best high-powered rocket builders as they work around the clock to build the most powerful, stylish, high-flying rockets possible.

With scientific skill, and an inventor’s vision, these builders are determined to defy the laws of gravity. Each builder will be given the challenge of competing against one another in a one of a kind competition.

Each builder will be responsible for making the most bad ass high-powered rockets possible. The rockets will be judged based on design, speed, and the ultimate goal - height. But with big dreams come harsh realities, as builders are forced to go back to the drawing board time and time again. They’ll tinker and take test flights as they try to perfect their rides, and prepare for the final competition.

With competition dates set, time is always a thorn as they have to plan, build and test their rockets – all from scratch – before launching against one another in an event that can get them millions of views, and instant credibility.
